Our referral procedure

If you wish to be seen for general health issues or weight management no referral is required.

In the case of other conditions, in accordance with our professional code of practice, a referral letter from your doctor is normally required.

You can print the referral form and take it to your doctor for completion.

If you are unsure as to whether you require a referral, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Booking an appointment

We hold weekly clinics at our main premises in Leyden Hill, where we also hold a dedicated clinic for International Medical Clinic patients.

In addition we also hold weekly clinics at Body With Soul (Rochester Park) and Kinder Clinic (Paragon) by prior arrangement. Your doctor’s surgery may contact us for an appointment.

Alternatively, you may contact us directly. We aim to see all patients as quickly as possible. Urgent cases are prioritised.

Pre – consultation information

To assist us in the 1st consultation most patients are asked to complete a food diary for the three days (including at least one day over the weekend) immediately preceding the appointment date.

The Food Diary can be downloaded now or can be sent to you by e-mail on confirmation of your appointment time.

What to expect at your first consultation

  1. You will be seen by one of our registered and qualified dietitians.
  2. We will take all measurements necessary.
  3. The consultation duration is normally 50 - 60 minutes.
  4. During the consultation, your health issues will be discussed, nutritional goals set and any follow-up requirements planned.

Further review appointments

A follow-up appointment is normally 20 – 30 minutes depending on your medical condition.

Completeness of care

In the case of a referral, a letter summarising the goals or issues discussed, where appropriate, will be sent to the referring physician.
